Why aren slats part of a standard bed?

There are 3 main reasons why we do not include slats: 1. By not offering slats as a standard we reduce the price of all of our beds by $50. 2. Along with reason #1, since most people already have a metal frame the bed is priced perfectly to meet their needs. If an individual does not have a metal frame but is purchasing a new mattress, most mattress companies will include the metal frame if asked. Lastly, if an individual does not have a metal frame we sale them near cost. King, California King and Queen Frames are $42 while Full and Twin Frames are $25. 3. The use of slats does not provide as clean a look as does the utilization of a metal frame. Unless cuts are made in the comforter and skirting they will bunch up around the slats rather than cleanly flow all the way to the floor. With a metal frame, any comforter or quilt will achieve a nice clean look.
