Why aren’t messages being sent on multiple platforms? What if I don’t have a cell phone?
UVic Emergency Alerts uses a variety of methods—email, voicemail, SMS text messaging and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones— to broadcast emergency messages. The tests we are conducting are helping us to improve the system and ensure we are able to reach people via as many means of communication as possible.
