Why aren direct employers eligible to receive resumes from CareerFountain?
Employers pay third party recruiters (also called head-hunters, search firms and staffing agencies) to fill the best positions with candidates like you. The employer is willing to pay that fee, because they feel the recruiter provides a very valuable service. Employers feel they would not have found a great employee like you without the recruiters assistance. Since the recruiter only gets paid if they fill a position with their candidate, there is no incentive to present any candidate who is publicly available to the employer directly. Resume distribution services that include direct employers in their lists discourage recruiters from presenting you to their employer clients. Not all jobs are posted. Recruiters are often hired to find candidates for confidential or “hidden” jobs.
