Why aren’t all classes on School Notes or some other online homework reminder?
Philosophies vary widely on the topic of online homework reminders/gradebooks, etc. Some teachers and parents believe that students should learn to be responsible for writing their assignments into their organizers. They may feel that the “crutch” of online homework reminders does not foster responsibility, and may increase parent intervention/involvement where independence should be the goal. Others say, “Welcome to the 21st Century!” These teachers and parents may feel that an online source of information will prevent dropped assignments and help parents stay informed about their students’ academic obligations.
