Why aren advices printed and mailed?
“Governor Sonny Purdue and Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr. have stated that increasing state government efficiency is one of their primary objectives. In anticipation of the mandatory use of Employee Self Service by all employees of the university system, effective January 1, 2008, Valdosta State University will no longer print payroll advices for employees on Direct Deposit or Cash Pay. Information regarding your pay can be found on the Employee Self Service Menu. Remember you can click on Employee Self Service from the VSU main page. Take a few minutes now and log onto the system. Review your benefit information and your contact information. The VSU deadline date for all employees to have accessed and acquired a password for Employee Self Service is December 31, 2007.
