Why are Zarda & Khaini Called “Smokeless Tobacco”?
This characterisation as “chewing tobacco” comes from the attempt to distinguish it from cigarettes & cigars, which are essentially smoked tobacco. What is the difference between “Zarda” & “Khaini” In Indian tradition, tobacco is mixed with hydrated lime (Calcium Hydroxide Ca(OH)2 to achieve desired tastes and flavors. Whereas Zarda represents tobacco that is later mixed with lime by the user, Khaini is a step ahead and provides the final mixture in a single package. Khaini represents the cutting edge in tobacco usage & is widely used for its wider range of fragrances & flavors & user-friendly nature.
