Why are YouTube, music, Video Sites, etc. blocked?
Normally, these sites are not educational and use a large amount of bandwidth which should be reserved for educational use. For those items which teacher find educational, the teacher can override the filter to use an educational resource. These overrided sites are carefully monitored and non-educational sites should not be accessed during educational times.
