We chose JRuby over MRI for a number of reasons: • Ease of deployment • Every enterprise on the planet runs Java • Our development team has a Java heritage • Our roadmap for the project is extensive and we didn’t believe we could do it with Ruby alone. We wanted our fall back language to be Java rather than C.
