Why are you transferring CfBT Education Trust’s responsibilities to the National Strategies?

CfBT responsibilities are not transferring to the National Strategies. Rather the Strategies will be expanding their current G&T offer by enhancing the resources available in the G&T area. CfBT fulfilled its contract to the end of its natural term in March 2010 when the existing YG&T programme ended. We are taking the opportunity to draw together national support for G&T learners in one place. This will also allow us to plan for the new approach to school improvement that will replace the National Strategies after 2011.
