Why are you only taking away half of the cill where other companies are replacing the full cill?
Two reasons, if there is no rot why change something that is sound and I am not out to make extra money for something that does not need changed.I have heard all the arguments why it should be changed but the bottom line is we do not tell a customer that it is the proper way to do it. I have been working on windows for 30 years of my life and know a fairy storywhen I hear one. Besides your old window is in impereial measurement and today the cill section is metric, so I can’t see how it fits to the old sash how it should.
