Why are window permits used? Why must permits be stuck to the window?
Union wanted a permit that everyone could properly put on his/her vehicle without fear of any damage. The permit must be stuck directly to the vehicle so that it will stay in place for the entire school year. When scotch tape and suction cups are used, some students remove their permit and park in restricted areas. Identifying these vehicles adds to labor costs and frequently involves help from agencies off campus. If students cannot put the parking permit properly on the vehicle, they will need to find an alternate method of transportation such as riding with a friend, riding the bus, or parking the vehicle off-campus. The permits have been designed to be removable when through using them.
