Why are volunteers important at Treasure Coast Hospices?
Volunteers are important to Treasure Coast Hospices because they provide support for our staff. They are part of our interdisciplinary team of patient care. Volunteers provide bereavement support and raise money for our patient care funds. Five percent of all paid patient care hours provided by our staff must be volunteer hours in order for our organization to be Medicare reimbursed.
