Why Are UMNO Millionaires Distracting Attention From Poor Malays In Sabah & Terengganu Who Are Even More Marginalized?
Is it true that Malays are marginalized in Penang? Has UMNO leaders forgotten that there are poorer Malays who are not millionaires like them and even more marginalized in the poorest states of Sabah, Kelantan, Terengganu Kedah and Perlis. Penang has the lowest poverty rate in the country at 0.3%. By focusing only on Penang, UMNO is trying to distract attention from their failure to prevent Malays from being marginalized in the poorest states with the highest poverty rate of Sabah(23%), Kelantan (10.6%), Terengganu(15.4%), Kedah (7%) and Perlis (6.3%). UMNO leaders must be nave to think that Malaysians, including Malays, are so gullible as to believe that Malays are marginalized in Penang but not in other states. For millionaire UMNO Malay leaders to complain that Malays are marginalised in Penang is hypocritical and discriminatory when they ignore non-Malays who are marginalised not just in Penang but also (together with other non-Penang Malays) throughout Malaysia.
