Why are U.S. Immigration Laws not strictly enforced by all levels of Law Enforcement?

Well, Dan, different levels of law enforcement perform different tasks. Now, if a police officer working the streets and finds an illegal alien, then they are taken in and the proper action ensues. Street police perform vital functions including drug and traffic enforcement. They simply cannot go out and look for illegal aliens. The Immigration Police and Border Patrol are doing all they can do with the laws they have to work with. It’s not easy. I understand your frustration, however.
