Why are travel incentives preferable to cash or merchandise?
Travel carries a strong high perceived value, creating an image in people’s minds that acts as inspiration, whether that’s on a beach in Mexico, under the lights of New York City, or strolling through the French Quarter in New Orleans. Travel creates memories that linger long after the actual vacation is over, and creates a significant level of excitement and impact. Cash, on the other hand, is usually spent on paying bills, and merchandise gifts are often purchases that would have been made anyway.
