Why Are Tornadoes Difficult To Prepare For?
It is because you can not predict the occurrence of tornado that it is difficult for you to prepare for it. To understand the unpredictable behaviour of tornadoes you are required to understand how tornadoes form. The formation of tornadoes happens in a very intense weather system which is known to the world as supercell. The phenomenon of supercell occurs when there happens the rise of a warm updraft through a layer that is stable and overlying and it continues to go upward in a zone that is quite cool and has dry air. But the unpredictable behaviour is there because the updraft that gives rise to a tornado is not producing the phenomenon on continuous basis; some times it may also occur that the updraft does not produce a tornado and at times it produce tornado. It is because of this capricious behaviour that even advance science is not able to predict it and that lead to the un-preparedness phenomenon.
