Why are they such uncaring assholes in mental hospitals?
They did you wrong. Many hospitals do not care, especially in the mental clinics due to so many people clogging up the system with needless problems. One thing to do, this is a real thing is to read the patient rights and responsiblities and the hospitals rights and responsibilities and then hold them accountable. Taking proactive action against people who do not care is a problem and I have heard this alot. I am sorry for your pain. I would file a grievance, but I would not give up on mental health healing. Do not give up on yourself or feel shame about this and your anger is a phase that you need to learn to curb and get the coping skills with a counselor and meds so that you can help yourself in the areas that are of your concern. I care, I have PTSD from the WAR and I have suffered my share at the so called Counselors and Doctors hands, you have no idea. I share your pain and can relate.
