Why are there two woodturning clubs in the Buffalo area?

0

Originally, there was only one club in Buffalo. It grew so large that it became difficult to find a site to hold meetings. The decision was made to cap the membership at 80 and form another club for expansion beyond that number. That club, Turners 2, has grown and likewise had to set a cap on it’s membership numbers. There are currently a few openings in the Turners 2 Club. Recently, two other clubs have formed in the area. The Pembroke Woodturners Guild is located in nearby Pembroke NY and the Lockport Woodturners in Lockport NY.
