Why are there two separate Buddy lists?

The Phone Finder and Continuous Tracking modes work in very different ways (see FAQ #4), and having two Buddy lists helps in avoiding confusion and in protecting your personal data. Most Buddies are invited through the Continuous Tracking mode, as this mode provides the most convenient way to share location data. Phone Finder mode is designed more for use in emergency situations. In addition, having a separate Buddy list for Phone Finder mode allows you to make your location available to people who do not have an iLocBuddy compatible phone, or who are not iLocBuddy users.
