The first cover with the female cat on the snakes caused an outrage because of it’s resemblance to a Hare Krishna painting. The band paid a licensing fee to avoid having to recall all the original pressings with this cover. Then after the first million or so pressings were sold all new editions had the cover of the male cat on the spinning wheel.
