Why are there two different application deadlines for the same trimester?

0

If you want to go on an trimester- or year-long Exchange program there are two deadlines by which you can hand in your application, meaning that students who miss the first deadline have a second chance to apply. You should be aware that your choice of destinations and access to scholarships will be reduced or in some cases eliminated if you apply in the second round. Places are allocated after the first round and the destinations list will be updated to reflect which universities have left-over places available. If you submit your application in the second round you can only choose from these universities. If you hand in your application after the first round deadline your application will automatically be considered in the second round. Applications handed in after the second round deadline will not be considered.
