In October 2010, the RTA announced that Plate Marketing Pty Ltd (A subsidiary of LicenSys Pty Ltd) had been appointed to manage and operate the myPlates special number plates business under a 15 year partnering arrangement. These arrangements include marketing and operating the special number plates business only, with the RTA’s standard number plates being managed by the RTA. Therefore, number plate enquiries for standard number plates can only be transacted by the RTA at a Registry or via the RTA’s Contact Centre on 132 213, other than some limited transactions that can be performed on the myPlates website. All special number plate enquiries can be addressed by the myPlates contact centre on 131 758.
