Why are there statistics for departments with funny names like LIQUOR ENFORCEMENT and BUREAU OF FORESTRY?

Since 2005, state law has required all state, county, and local law enforcement agencies to report crime numbers to the state police. As a result, liquor boards and forestry bureaus have begun reporting the number of crimes occuring in their jurisdictions, though historically those numbers have been very low. Prior to 2005, crime reporting was not mandated. Even though the law now compels all agencies to report, some departments still do not provide data to the state.
