Why are there so many innocent people, facing false allegations, convicted?

The desire on the part of a jury to “believe the child,” or their thoughts that, “maybe it didn’t happen, but just in case it did, I gotta protect this child.” Some attorneys who tell a client “you cannot defend these cases.” “You cannot prove that the child is lying.” The totality of the defense consisting of responding only to the state’s case. No aggressive motion practice to determine the specific testimony of the state’s “experts.” No preparation for dealing with the accusing child’s testimony after they have been “coached” following multiple interviews.
