Why Are there so many different Christian Church?
During the Dark Ages, when people were persecuted for having Bibles in their possession, and anyone who translated the Bible into the common language of the people were martyred, many Bible truths were suppressed, and the common people (who were not permitted to own their own copy of Scriptures) did not know any different than they were told by the priest. But certain people who studied the Scriptures for themselves, even studying to become a priest themselves (such as Martin Luther), learned that the church was teaching things that were contrary to the Bible. These reformers (such as Luther, Tyndale, Huss, and others) would preach the truths they learned from the Bible. Many of these also worked to translate the Bible into the common language of the people so that everyone could know the word of God for themselves.
