Why are there so many Calendar options in both Month/Week/Day view and Event List view?

With our new calendar system, users may target specific events. Any calendar option that starts/end with a hyphen (-) or equal sign (=) is actually a view of multiple calendars. This allows the user to see all relevant events. For example, = CES w/ District = will show both Elementary School-only events along with District events (which include vacation days and ES/MS Parent-Teacher conference). We believe it is these views that will be most useful for our users.
