Why are there so few VIMOD superstars, as opposed to sites like Model Mayhem, Model Place, One Model Place or Diamondz n Pearlz?
A. Actually, our first online model, Malvina Lopes, was a frequent visitor to One Model Place, and when I was working with her she suggested we set up a similar website. Of course, since its inception, we realize that VITAL has a long way to go to score the type of numbers (hits) that One Model Place receives, based on the fact that VITAL remains a Boston-based site with Boston-based photographers. We are also striving to maintain a certain standard [of beauty] for our site, so that not everyone who is photographed will actually make it onto the site. We desire something unique in our models. Also, because we are a local company (although I’m sure more established companies face the same problem), there is a high level of unreliability in a small percentage of the model who we contract to work for/with us!
