Why are there several accreditations and what is the Center for Coaching Certification’s approach to accreditation?
With so many organizations offering certification, businesses have started in the interest of providing oversight (and in fact two different ones were started by the same person!) Because there is not oversight, offering accreditation is a business opportunity for these organizations. The Center for coaching Certification program is aligned with the core competencies of the International Coaches Federation. The Center for Coaching Certification values their efforts and looks forward to a time when there is an industry-wide standard. We offer certification that is specifically for the life and/or executive coach, and this certification is granted only upon completion of our intense 30 hour program that includes 5 webinars, training exercises, a two-day live program with a professional coach trainer, and hands-on practical coaching sessions under the supervision of the coach trainer.
