South Sea pearls are called the queen of cultured pearls. South Sea pearls are produced by a particular type of saltwater oyster of large size. The pearls are very rare and very expensive. Pearl Design focuses on affordable quality in the low to medium price range. I believe that South Sea pearl necklaces are wonderful beauties, which however fall in a price range that is not within the mission of Pearl Design.
