Why are there no reformers in Islamic history?
Living in Denial With today’s sudden interest in Islam and the ideology that brought worldwide Islamic terrorism, causing huge government and private’ budgets for protection from Muslim jihadists, the world is exposing Muslim texts. Believe it or not, as these texts come to light, many Muslims are among the first ones to hear about their scriptures. Ignorance of Muslim scriptures is not confined to the less-educated Arab Street, but exists at all levels. There are many Muslims in Ivy League universities in the United States who don’t know or refuse to know the basic tenets of their religion. Denial of the truth of Muslim scriptures is the only solution for many, since acknowledging the tragedy is regarded as apostasy. The doors and windows are all locked around the Muslim mind preventing him from looking outside the box of Sharia.
