Why are there many different treatment therapies for Ovarian Cancer?
Because each individual is genetically dissimilar as is the cancer in them, different treatment therapies may be given to different individuals for ovarain cancer. Here are some of the therapies. • Surgery • Chemotherapy • Radiation therapy • Therapy for Relapsed, Resistant, or Recurrent Ovarian Cancer Surgery for ovarian cancer can be further categorized: • Initial surgery (done for diagnosis and treatment). • Second look surgery for women in whom cancer responds to chemotherapy. • Additional de bulking surgery. • Surgery for recurrent ovarian cancer. At the beginning stage tumors are often not cancerous and the women can expect to get cured by removing the infected ovary or part of it having the tumor, surgically. However, the results after the treatment therapies depend on the type of ovarain cancer and how much severe it has gone up to.
