Why are there differences between the stakeholder agreement and the final SRMP?
The stakeholder agreement was developed by the stakeholders who represent winter recreation interests in the Valemount to Blue River area. Once the stakeholder agreement was developed, the SRMP planning process began. During the SRMP development, the Integrated Land Management Bureau (ILMB) was responsible for taking the stakeholder agreement and incorporating the interests of other stakeholder groups, agencies and the general public into the final SRMP, with a focus on achieving balance between social, economic and environmental factors.
