Why are there 14 teams and 16 teams in the America League & National League?
The answer, of course, would be to expand the Major Leagues into Four 8 team divisions, instead of six indeterminately sized divisions. Leave the National League as it is but expand the American League overseas. The sports fans in Taiwan and Japan are absolutely nuts about baseball and expanding there would attract enormous crowds of MLB fans. This is the jet age? Isn’t it? Eliminate inter league play. Eliminate the accursed “DH” and go back to playing real baseball in both the Major Leagues. Think about it. What a way to go. I am at peace with your suggestions, even though I am an atheist. However, I appreciate the input of the more thoughtful people of any faith based persuasion, or even of a more politically based ideology.
