Why are the version 5.x DST updates being provided in cumulative service packs instead of a patch?

0

The scope and universality of the DST updates requires a service pack because a patch could not complete all the necessary updates. Additionally, Kronos will not be able to accommodate patch requests. All customers need to upgrade their product to a DST service pack version for the changes to become effective. Kronos is providing advance notice to customers regarding this requirement so they can make plans for installing and testing the service pack upgrades well in advance of the DST change in March of 2007.
