Why are the TLC timing trims so complicated in the Dual Sync Mode?

While it may seem a simple thing to do in synchronizing decks at different frame rates, there are internal processing timings within the TLC that may complicate adjustments. The initial release of the Dual Sync TLC software may not actually sync the decks to the 6 Hz pulse with zero timing trims. It is quite likely timing trims are necessary for all decks, source and recorders to match this pulse. The timing setups may improve in future versions.
