Why are the taxes higher in Loveland?
Due to a lack of commercial properties, Loveland residents currently shoulder a relatively high tax burden when compared to other similar districts. This trend is not expected to change due to the State of Ohio’s new budget for schools, which will not supply the additional funding the District requires even though enrollment is expected to grow. We recognize the burden shouldered by our residents and spend our money carefully. Loveland achieves an excellent rating with careful spending at a low per student cost. Our costs per student are below the state average and well below other excellent districts in the area.
