Why are the SureFoot® and SureStep® canes better than the quad canes?
These canes stand by themselves as do the quad canes. This is very helpful-you don’t have to find a place to hang your cane-it stays right beside you. And you can set it down while you open doors, etc. Also, if the cane falls over you can step on the “foot” to right the cane. But the SureFoot® and SureStep®* canes have the following advantages over the quad canes: much lighter weight, take up less room, and you can use on stairs-often the quad cane is too large to fit on stair treads and can actually be quite dangerous. Also quad canes have the small tips on each prong, making them dangerous on terrains that the SureFoot® and SureStep® canes navigate easily.
