Why are the Slimline tanks so much more expensive than the round tanks?
Simply put, because they require so much more material. A round tank is naturally stronger because the weight of the water is distributed evenly along the circular perimeter of the tank. The Slimline tanks are rectangular in shape, so they are required to have much thicker walls. That is also why the Slimlines have holes incorporated into their design – to add more surface area to absorb the pressure from the weight of the water.
