Why are the skill sheets general in nature?
Skills development and assessment focuses on recognition of agency differences in regards to policies, procedures and applicable codes and standards. Instructors or program coordinators must develop skill problems in consideration of the audience, local policies and procedures, adopted codes and standards and with a focus to basic inspector skills. Skill exercises should be developed with attention to the skill assessment evaluation elements. Experienced inspectors should be used to assist in the development of skills. This helps ensure a realistic view of skill problems.
