Why are the resumes identified by code versus real names and addresses?
First and foremost is the issue of security. Many of the transitioning mili tary personnel may currently be deployed. We do not want to jeopardize them or their families. Second is to create a platform insuring an equal opportunity for all of our candidates. Our program will cause employers and recruiters to develop an interest in a candidate based on qualifications. This practice protects both candidate and employer from any perception of discrimination. Once a communication between employer/recruiter has begun, the amount of information released by the candidate to the employer/recruiter is in total control of the candidate. Third, many employers do not want to take calls from jobseekers until they have had the chance to review an applicants resume, or they may not want their employee search to be public knowledge. Their search can also be blind and in their control. This method serves both parties very well.
