Why are the rescued miners in Chile wearing Oakley sunglasses?
They ARE Oakleys – they were donated by the company in anticipation of the miners having to deal with bright light (regardless of some of them being brought up at night, there were still very bright spotlights at the rescue site) but mainly for the days following their rescue – the UV rays being very damaging to their retinas after them having been in the dark for so long.
