Why are the replica skulls just as expensive as the real skulls?
A. Due to the unpredictability in the availability of animal skulls (these animals are not farmed) sometimes it is more cost effective to create replicas of the skulls. The replica creating process destroys the skull and only allows for the creation of a limited number of skulls. So, if the animal skull in question is readily available, then the replication process is not cost effective. For this reason, even when the replication process is used, the resulting skull replicas are at or near the cost of widely available varieties.
