Why are the relevant fields empty in the new object wizard?

In some cases, the wizard which appears when you want to create a new object does not use the appropriate project and library information on its first page. This happens when the focus was not set to the appropriate library the Navigator view. This may happen, for example, if the Natural Server view is currently active and you choose File > New > object-type.
