Why are the puppies sold on AKC limited registration?
Being a professional breeder for over 18 years we have had on several occasions unscrupulous breeders try to buy our puppies just so they can use it to market European bred dogs and mass produce pups. Some people have gone so far as to hire friends to pose as prospective puppy buyers. They literally deceived us into selling them the puppy only to turn around and give it to this BACKYARD breeder who has no regard for the betterment of the breed. We found this out the hard way. We have also had people buy pet quality pups from us saying they had no interest in breeding. Then they turn around and breed a superior bred European female to a local American nothing bred CKC reg P.O.S. This is very disheartening to us. As the saying goes “one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. ” Because of this we were forced to take this position on AKC limited Registration. We do offer to change the AKC Limited Registration to Full Registration with all of our Breeding Quality puppies sold. If the followin
