Why are the people in Home Base named after elements?
Arsenic was originally created in 2001, and was just named that because it sounded cool. In 2005, Holy Evil created Selenium, a companion character who was sent by “home base” to assist Arsenic. After that, the concepts of Home Base and an organization of villains named after the elements evolved. All of the villains in the Home Base organization are known as “Elements.” Q: Created in 2001? But this comic has only been around since 2006. A: The main characters and many other characters who appear throughout are based on characters who appeared in a PBBG called Wrassle[dot]Net and the MMORPG City of Heroes. Many of the storylines here will be roughly inspired by the storylines from before, but played around with to fit the new format/give a comic feel, etc. Q: Why do the elements wear masks? A: To hide their faces (duh). Many of them lead double lives, and the secrecy of thier missions is important. The majority of the elements in Home Base don’t even know their compatriots’ own identit
