Why are the Murano Glass Beads particularly elusive?
The glass beads are made with Italian Murano Glass and the bead designs are difficult to make. Where some jewellery designers use glass beads with the designs and patterns painted on the outside of the glass, PANDORA’s Murano Glass designs are created within the glass so the design runs right through the bead itself. This is very difficult to achieve and it takes up to 3-4 months to train a new employee to create these beads effectively.
