Why are the Moving average crossovers never used on the price series, but only on other indicators?
CASB1 states “An indicator of this type is drawn directly on the underlying price series”. However, the CASB generated code will never do straight price moving average crossovers. This can be achieved by adding an indicator of “Close”. Since CASB always draw the moving averages on top of the indicator, it implies that if you want the moving average crossover directly on the price series, then you need to use an indicator with the definition ‘Close’.
