Why are the mountaineering images not available as wallpaper ?
The montaineering pictures were put on the web around 1995-1997. At that time, I prepared the images at a resolution just sufficient for display. Many of those images were shot on Kodachrome film (unlike the more recent images, all in modern E6 films). Kodachrome has a different structure from other E6 films, consisting in fact of three B&W-like layers. This makes it a little problematic to scan them with my scanner. I will eventually rescan all those images at a size enough for wallpaper, but I have been delaying the process since it is more time-consuming than usual. This applies to less than a total of 400 images.
