why are the leaves on my aspidestra turning yellow
It’s true that the aspidistra plant requires very little maintenance and is a very tough plant. Even then, it might be in need of more sunlight than it is getting.
Additionally, these plants tend to require environments with higher humidity to grow. I suggest periodically misting the plant in order to simulate this. Make sure that you don’t over-water the plant since wet roots = rotting roots. There should be a tray under the pot to allow sufficient drainage so that soil is moist, but not wet. Clay pots are recommended.
