Why are the Irish so racist towards immigrants?

I was born and raised in England, but have Irish heritage (my parents are both Irish), and I actually agree with this. Many Irish are xenophobic and racist towards people that are non-Irish, including (ironically) USA and England – two countries many Irish have flocked to. I’ve visited Ireland dozens of times, and traveled around it, and I can actually safely say that besides in the big cities like Dublin where they’re more multiracial in general, most (as in a good 75-80%) Irish do NOT like foreigners and have this twisted hate against others. Let me tell you this – an Asian family opened a small store in Ireland in the 1990s, and guess what? Hardly anyone went to it on the basis that it was being ran by Asians. I understand that the history between England and Ireland has not always been great, but what I don’t understand is, there’s many Irish that LIVE and WORK in England, and at the SAME time slag off the Irish, wtf? And many of my older cousins in Ireland have ambitions of moving
